The KEM Hospital Research Centre (KEMHRC) is part of KEM Hospital, a tertiary care teaching hospital located in Pune. KEMHRC has been working for the past 30 years on issues relating to vulnerable sections of the community, including women, adolescents and children. Its work focuses on applied, problem oriented and problem solving research and intervention projects in rural and urban areas around Pune. The Population Council is an international, non-profit, non-governmental organisation that seeks to improve the well-being and reproductive health of current and future generations around the world and to help achieve a humane, equitable and sustainable balance between people and resources. The Council conducts biomedical, social science and public health research, and helps build research capacities in developing countries.
